We have a great program in Ontario called Ontario Developmental Program (ODP) that for the most part is used for 5-8 year olds. They can't compete invitationally until 7, but in our gym, at 6 and 7 they go to meets in this program which focuses on flexibility, strength, endurance, etc. They "compete" skills such as leg lifts, chin holds, presses, handstand walking, rope climbing, short and long bridges, great splits.... They work on these skills every day for the first few years in the precompetitive program and it is a great base for their future.

dry to watch, but clearly irreplaceable. :)

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
