This year, I have the option of staying at my current inner-city school, or transferring to my hometown's suburban school. My concern is getting a scholarship to actually be able to pay for "bigger" colleges, say I get in to one. I know inner-city students are generally given more scholarships, but I feel that I would have a more well-rounded background at the suburban school. What would you do?

You need to educate yourself on the college admission process. Inner city or suburban school will not matter a whit if you don't have the academics to get a school's attention. Your choice needs to be based on which school will give you the most academic rigor in your curriculum. You need to understand the difference between need-based aid (scholarships) and merit-based aid. You may see inner city schools getting more scholarships when in reality they are getting more need-based aid. Your high school guidance counselors need to be an integral part of your planning.
