I know this varies between regions (and levels), but I'm curious about how much time others have between one season and the next?

We are region 5 and have late winter/spring seasons. So we usually compete Dec-April/May and so 7 months.

We're Xcel, and also run December -April/May. States is the first weekend in May this year. December is early though, and some gyms don't start until January. So 7-8 months.

Not much time at all for us! Our first meet of the season is in December and USAIGC Worlds are the last week in June...o_O lol. But I think we’re the exception.

We are in northern Virginia and the season runs Nov/Dec through March/April.

Main season is early November to mid-March. Then, we have Y Nationals at the end of June.

We are Xcel. States are beginning of May with regionals later in the month for those girls who make it. First meet is typically late November.

It seems like about 7 months. Meets start end of October/Early November. State meet is end of March

We have between seven and nine months off, depending on the year...it’s fast and furious paced over here, lol!

Well that is a lot. Here level 7-10 start competing in March, and finish in late September. So 5 months between seasons. Level 3-6 usually go May-Sep but lots of clubs still compete into Oct and Nov so 5-7 months.

Our gym schedules a short compulsory season- October through December (I think there are plenty of meets that start a month earlier). So that’s 9 months between seasons.

Our gyms schedules also schedules a shorter optional season choosing meets beginning in January (although there are plenty of options for December and I think even November meets). Then, our regular season goes through mid-March leaving just the championships left after that. So that’s about 8 months between seasons.

*There is one exception though. That’s the year we go from compulsory (5) ending in December to optional (7) beginning in January. So that’s only a month between those two seasons.

In-house meet in October, first real meet in November. Optional state meets are in March and compulsories in late April. They train like it’s meet season beginning around back-to-school time in September.

All levels have 2 meets, they have to place top 3/4/5 all around to qualify for states,so by far not everyone goes to states (it's not top 3 or whatever from your age group, but from everyone in your level)

First meet was in mid-january, last meet end of April. About 1 to 2 months in between each meet. States between end of may/middle of june

Region 5-
Competition season starts Oct for our gym and regular season meets usually last until Feb. Then states/regionals/nationals from March-May depending on level.

Season technically starts in January, but there's usually a mobility meet in December. Nationals is June/July depending on your level. If you don't go to nationals, season ends with regionals mid May.

All JO levels and Xcel run the same. Slight differences if Regioal/National meet are in play then the season extended some what.

Season starts October if you do early meets, some gyms start their competition s later. States start in April, lower levels May because they have no regional or national meet.

So roughly 4-6 months between.

JO season begins in November/December and ends at the last meet for that level in March/April/May (States, Regionals, Nationals, etc...).

For levels under 5 season is just two months Feb/Mar.

Level 5/6 end in April, everyone else is May.

So anywhere from 10-8 months between seasons

We have two season. Fall season starts in late September and ends in late November. Then 3 months off, and the Spring season starts in March and ends in early June when we have the last meet, something like your "States" except it's for the whole country and all different gymnastics sports (rhythmic, aesthetic group gymnastics, aerobic gymnastics, trampolining, acro, team gym, senior leagues for adults etc) and the competitions take 3-4 days and everyone stays the whole time, because there are other fun events and activities going on too (all kind of shows and spectacles, awards, a disco etc). So it's not just a meet, it's more like a celebration and a get together for gymnastics people. Then we have the summer off so roughly 3-4 months before the next competition. Many gyms move gymnasts up between fall and spring seasons so they might only do one short season in some levels.
