So I have been doing gymnastics since I was 2 but I didn’t start competing till I was 7/8 by the time I was level 2 I already had my round off tuck, walk over on beam and much more
but still was put in level 3 instead of Xcel gold but I didn’t really know what the difference was anyways.so in August of 2024 I left that gym and was doing private lessons at a cheer gym with one of my old coaches and my parents got the crazy idea to open a gym.it wasn’t easy but by the grace of god we opened in August of 2025 a little later than be intended but my first year back I competed gold.my old gym was AAU so I was used to getting 1th AA every meet and going to nationals but USAG was very humbling to say the least bit at state I kinda had a rough start but I got a 9.55 on floor!!! But I am really struggling with mental blocks on going backwards☹️ but front tumbling is really good and I’m working on Yurchanko timers but I SOOO scared and then a 2 weeks before team registration starts she told my parents that she is leaving so her husband can be a librarian, lol🤭 and our other team coach is in college so she is leaving for till August☹️ but the new team coach seems really mean and I’ve also heard she is mean and I’ve been thinking about quitting but idk what I would do with gymnastics again

Take out two pieces of paper and draw a line down the middle of each. On one side of the first sheet list the potential benefits of quitting and on the other side list the potential downsides of quitting. Do the same thing on the other sheet of paper, but this time list the potential benefits and downsides of continuing gymnastics. Underline the items that are most important or concerning to you. Think it over for a couple days and then talk to your parents. Good luck.

How old are you?
I think you may want to take a little more time when writing a post like this. Some of what you wrote can be a bit hard to understand because you forget to use punctuation. If you write things out a bit more clearly and take more time, we can help you better. And it'll probably also help you understand your own thoughts.

Change can be hard and you've had what sounds like a lot of coaching changes in a short amount of time. It also sounds like your opinion of the new coach is based, at least partially, on what others have said. I think you need to keep an open mind and give the new coach an opportunity to get established and give yourself an opportunity to get to understand her coaching style because it sounds like it may be different than what you've experienced in the past. One idea is to give it through the summer then decide.
