I'm flexible but new to gymnastics.

Hey there! I've been flexible(I mean flexible) my whole life but I'm new to gymnastics. I've been looking to something I could start onto, and according to my flexibility, I've chosen gymnastics. Please keep in mind, I'm very new, so don't get started on those hard stuff, however, I would like to develop my skills to becoming a male rope climbing gymnast.

Also, for your information, I can't do the splits yet :)

Any ideas on what I can do to improve my chances of being a gymnast?
