Are you excited that meet season is drawing to a close?

It's been an amazing year, and it has been so fun to watch the girls improve! Every single girl on the team has grown a lot this year! But, I am also so excited to watch the girls grow their skills in the "off season." Is that weird? We are new to this.

It's been an amazing year, and it has been so fun to watch the girls improve! Every single girl on the team has grown a lot this year! But, I am also so excited to watch the girls grow their skills in the "off season." Is that weird? We are new to this.

I always feel the same way every year and this is my daughter’s 7th year competing. Meet season can be so stressful and the upgrades make it so much more fun and less stressful for me as a parent.

I’m sooooo ready for meet season to end! To me, up-training is the fun part and meets are just work. My son has Regionals next weekend. They reorganized the MAG regions this year, so now we have to travel 1,600 miles for Regionals! It’s a very expensive trip and I’m feeling a bit put out about it. But it’ll be interesting to get a look at the competition for the newly added states. Next year, my son will be eligible for Nationals and it’s possible that meet season might go on for an additional month. Not looking forward to that!

I used to feel this way as a coach! One year when I was coaching level 2, there was an entire month between sectionals and state. I was definitely over meet season by then!

DD finishes this weekend (presuming she's not going to regionals). Last year she ended in May, so it feels weird for both of us to be done this early. She's excited to upgrade and get ready for her senior year! Side note- time flies, how is she going to be a senior??
