Well, I was born in March, but that's not the point. We were working leaps/jumps on beam and I was sorta mad because my legs were really tired (as they usually are) so I was having trouble, but I worked through it. Then out of the blue when I'm wishing my split was bigger the coach is like "Nice job, I like that full split." and I'm like <:-0 "What are you talking about?" cause my leg sure doesn't look like it's full split to me! What a nice surprise! I guess I've got one of my B's for when I start working my L7 beam routine (BHS are coming along better on the low beam, too).
The next day I was fooling around waiting for my teammates to take their grips off and I was working straddle jumps on the beam. Once again, full split! Who knew? I used to be the "unflexible girl." My split leaps still suck but my switch leaps are better so I might do one in a year or two, and I also want to try working straddle 1/2 and straddle 1/1 since I have a nice straddle 1/2 on the floor and sometimes I can do a good straddle 1/1 as well.
Yay. I'm flexible and I didn't even know it!
