Thank you very much for all the comments. I wouldn't consider this the "dark side" at all. It has been a blast sitting in the stands with the other parents. She is 5.

EDIT: She has been having a blast. She did get her first 9.0 at the last meet (which is very big moment to the kids at our club...we have a 9.0 board and they get to put a star on it for every 9.0 they get). She ran up to me after the meet and said, "Daddy, I got a star". She doesn't have her mill circle yet...but very close...hopefully soon.
