My daughter (13, L8) has such solid leaps and jumps on floor...and they are SO BAD on beam. Same leaps/jumps. This is pretty new and she's working on it and I am not saying a word. I know leaping on a beam is not the same as leaping on a floor. It's just amazing how different they are. I know it'll all work itself out - I'm mostly here to vent so I don't say anything to her. Ha! And if you wanna commiserate or share, please do!

I'll commiserate.... my daughter (L6) seems to always be short on her leaps and jumps. Coaches think its her mindset not her abilities... a good switch leap on floor looks wobbly on beam right now. Her split jump on floor looks solid but shaky with a bent knee on beam.

It does all work itself out..... I've seen my daughter go from a poor front tuck last year on floor to a nearly competition ready FHS Front full now. 11 mths time made a huge difference.... just for her the leaps & jumps are taking longer.....
