Well, we did it--we survived our first year in competitive gymnastics! Overall, DD had a great year--some ups and downs but the experiences only helped her grow as a person. DD is looking forward to Level A optionals (level 5) and doing cheerleading again! It is going to be a busy year! Her team is moving up to level A together which is nice because it is a great group of girls!!! The one girl who we had some "issues" with this past year has decided to go to another gym and compete USAG. She feels that the MDL and her teammates didn't challenge her enough this past year . To each their own, I guess! Anyway, THANK YOU :grouphug: to everyone for all of your support and words of encouragement and wisdom throughout the year!!! We couldn't have done it without the ChalkBucket family!!!

I have enjoyed being able to follow Dani's gymnastics journey this year:D! Thank you for sharing her videos, meet reports & stories along the way. She has made so much progress in just 1 year. She is a very talented & determined young lady:D! MdGymMom, you have brought much interesting & useful advice & insight to everyone here on CB! Especially, with your years of experience in the cheer world. I still love the "stages of a cheermom" you posted, LOL. It sooo applied to gym mom's too:p!!! Thank you for all of your support & friendship! Good luck to Dani as she moves up to Level A & gets her own floor routine(yeah!!!) & in cheer too!!! I'm so excited for her!!! You are a great mom and are doing a great job!! Keeping posting...I love to know how Dani is doing....I'm a Dani cheerleader:D!!!

Congrats! I am so glad she has had a great 1st year in gymnastics. There are certainly many ups and downs, but overall it can be such a wonderful learning experience, as long as there are good coaches and all that.

I think it's great she has the option to do MDL-less pressure & more personal success that way. And she can do cheer too, which I know you BOTH love! :)

Way to go for being a level-headed, supportive mom! :D

How exciting for Dani to be able to get away from compulsory routines! LOL. I know Abby would love that, but we have no other options here except USAG. I know she will do great doing MDL and I bet her routines are going to be awesome, she will get to show off that spunky personality of hers. Look forward to seeing her cheer videos, too. So glad she can get back into cheer and still get to do gym as well! :D
