Hey everyone! If you need some advice on doing skills...getting through tough practices, or even just about anything with gymnastics, I'll be happy to help.
I'm a level 9 gymnast so i can help out anyone in level 9 or lower! depending on the skill... maybe 10 :)

Do have any advice for learning shoot overs on bars? Im also a level 9
 
ok i need to get my kip but when i try doing one i cant tap my feet to the bar and i dont know how to straddle so i do it in a piked position. When i dont tap the bar what happens is my hips go away from the bar and i dont make it all the way up. Also back walkovers on beam. how do i get over my fear of them? i landed on my back once and now i cant seem to go over anymore! can u help with that? Im sorry to say but i have more.... I cant get a squat onto the bar! my legs come up straight and when they are bent they come apart and i miss the bar! can u tell me stuff i can do to help with that. One last thing is how do i get my back full in a layout position all the way around because when i do it i do it tucked and only make it half way last time i tried it! i would love to hear back from you but make it soon cuz i have practice in 35 minutes! if not i can use your advice for wendsday! sorry this was long!
 
aee, I really need help with my toe shoot on bars.
I'm level 3 and it is my last skill i need o learn until i move up to level 4 ut i cant get it argh!!

I do 3 casts and then i separate my legs to get into straddle but my feet never make it to the bar, i think its mostly fear of something bad happening :O
Please help!!

Maybe try to think of the first bit as something like a squat on action (straddle on, obviously). You don't just want to get your feet to touch the bar but stand on top of them. That way you can get your feet on first, then readjust your grip if necessary. When doing the underswing part of the skill make sure you pull back with you hands but push against the bar with your feet - that'll increase height and momentum.

Thanks, sounds a lot easier than it is to do.. I'll try what you said next week and if i get close to doing it or actually doing it, I'll let you know :)
