Hi, my DD just stopped club as a level 9, and is considering high school gymnastics. She is also a sprinter/hurdler, and is (a freshman) on her HS Varsity track team.

Thank you

Thanks for the welcome. I am a busy mom, and just trying to handle the emotions of my DD and myself after 20 hours a week in the gym for quite a few years to no time in the gym. At least my DD has track which helps, but she misses gymnastics terribly, and always looked at the high school gymnasts as being unskilled, and out of shape. So she, in her eyes, is 'lowering' herself and her goals by going to high school. I am trying to encourage her to go on her high school team and enjoy it. I also have a son who plays school and club lacrosse. We are a busy, happy sports family.

My oldest just stopped competing WAG. Long story but basically too many injuries and a lot of growth. SHe is going into T&T in Septemeber after taking the summer off.

It is not easy to transition to a life without gym, but I am sure that track will keep her busy until she decides about gym.

Many parents here have gone through the transition and have survived. You can ask for input in the parents section.
