I moved to a small town that doesn’t have gymnastics close by. The closest is 2 hours. My daughter loved gymnastics and very good at it my home town had it and she was in it. I was thinking of trying to open up something in my new area for the kids. I didn’t grow up in a gymnastics family so I don’t know much about it. How do I get resources and go about even trying to get things going?

Do you want to open a gym that is for just littler kids to learn motor skills and basics or are you talking about a real competitive gym with levels 1-10 and possibly an Xcel program as well?
I think I would want to do like a rec type gym. I would do littles for motor skills but middle age also for learned more with gymnastics skills.

In that case, if you're leaning more towards a rec-only gym, then it's going to be a lot easier than having DP and competitive advanced teams; you don't need as much experience. Hiring coaches should be easier too, but I do think you should get into contact with some experienced gym owners and see how they started their gym and learn more the business side of things since starting a gym is basically just like starting any new business. You need to market yourself out there, etc. Its a great idea, since many parents put their kids in gymnastics when their little.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
