Your age has little to do with genuine overuse injuries in the sense that if you do too much, it's still too much. If you do things incorrectly, it takes even less of the "too much." If you do things incorrectly while growing, it can take very little of "too much."

So stop when things hurt, and figure out the next step. Perhaps more conditioning, or flexibility, or learning the skill correctly would be better than continuing with a nagging pain that'l grow to a nagging injury.

This sport requires time, give it all the time it needs.
