She is surprisingly determined. She said that she WILL be doing optionals next season and has even started making a list of floor music that she wants to run by her coach. She told me just to wait and see how hard she works this summer.
I struggle with support and reality. I love her attitude but you know how it is when you think your child is going to be hurt....it's hard to sit back and watch. It's even more difficult when she doesn't understand that her skill set might not be the issue and that I can't exactly say what the issue is.
Just got out of a meeting with coach. I feel so much better and am so glad that I listened to you all. She had nothing but positive things to say about DD, gave me a very thorough update on where she is skillwise and how she believed DD would be just fine for next season. It turns out there are issues in this other training group that have nothing to do with my kid.....
