I figured we should have some progress reports for the gymnasts! I'll start:
Right now, it's all smooth sailing. No fears and new skills are coming very well. I got my barani on the "super-duper mini tramp", back walkover on beam, RO-BHS-BT and a couple other random little things in last week or two. I'm a bit dissapoind though- one of my best friends is leaving the sport because of a move :/ but, on a lighter note, one of my coaches is about to have her baby (eeek!!!!) and the other is now engaged!

Things are going pretty well. My knee is finally feeling good and right now I'm working on getting back old skills and working on some new ones. On vault we're mostly doing drills and I've flipped some yurchenkos off a mat stack on the end of our rod floor into the pit. On bars I'm working shootovers (from the low bar to the floor with a spot), straddle backs (except I don't straddle :)), and twisting flyaways. I'm also still trying to get that elusive pirouette and clear hip handstand. On beam I'm trying to get my backhandspring back (not sure if that's gonna happen since that's how I hurt my knee and I'm pretty scared of it). I'm also working on full turns with my leg at horizontal, fronthandsprings, roundoffs (these last two are with panel mats beside the low beam), and switchleap/jump combinations. On floor I'm trying to get my passes back (back 1/2, fhs fp ft, fhs flayout) and working fhs flayout + flip, back fulls, and double backs on tumble track. Next year I'll compete either level 8 again or advanced prep op, which has requirements between 7/8 but you can do Cs.

Well, i am basically working on routines routines and more routines but chucked in the mix is working on round off flic layout and flics on beam :)

I recently got my fhs layout punch front, and I got my roundoff on high beam a few days ago. Now I'm working on RO back tuck as my dismount. I'm also working free hip giants, and I've made a lot of progress--I did it with a spot on double bars last week. My tsuks are also coming along nicely :)

Seems like everyone is doing well! I'm just getting back into going to practice more than once a week, because I took most of the spring off to do track. I'm very sore, but doing well! I'm just training level 9, to repeat it next season. This past season was a little rough for me... LOL

The competive season just ended about two weeks ago for us. Im doing okay! I just got back my standing back-handspring without a spot yesterday ( had major fear issues for a while!) and im starting to make my long hang kips on bars. Vault has been a struggle because im dealing with a hip flexor injury that doesn't seem to want to go away and makes it difficult to vault most of the time. Beam is great! My full turns are getting more consistent and im starting to work bwos again on high beam after a nasty fall last month, and front walkovers on low beam. Everyone seems to be doing great! Im so glad to hear you all are doing so well! <3

I'm training for level 9 after competing level 8 this Spring. Two weeks ago our optional team had a week off so I'm just getting back into the swing of things. I'm working on flipping yurchenkos, bails (almost took my coach out today, hehe), back handspring two-foot backtucks on the beam, double backs on floor, and a lot of other things. I'm also looking for new floor music (something technoey).

Im finishing my level 5 season right now... Have a meet tomorrow, and state on the 17th!! :D
Im having fear issues lately, which is SO frustrating! But im working hard to get trough that..
I have some new skills,
Bars- Clear Hip, Toe on, HECHT! *Success!* and working fly aways--but too scared.
Beam- Back Walkover!!!
Vault- Just perfecting that front handsrping..That will be my vault for the next 2 seasons. (6 and 7)
Floor- Front handspring, front tuck on tumble track

One of my 4 coaches just got fired because, she was coaching some of the girls we compete againest! Soo she is done-zo! What a LLLLLLooser! But we have a new coach..and she ROCKS!

Scoring AWESOME!!! Working HARD!! Dont you just love gymnastics?? ;)

Oh, and I have a new obsession! OPEN GYM!! Getting SO many skills there!

i'm working on some new things at the moment:
Vault- getting my handspring neater and hopefully without a spot soon!
Floor- pike fronts into the pit, still trying to get my backhandspring and free cartwheels on the tumble
Bars- 3/4 giants form jump to high bar and also from a cast
Beam- trying my comp routine on the high beam with no mats- squat on, forward roll, wolf jump, 1/2 turn, cat leap, stag leap, 1/2 spin, Y balance, round off off

i'm also trying to pick my floor music, i have two songs in mind but i can't pick between them, your opinions would very welcome and helpful on these two songs!

My bars are now officially equal to lvl 3(bars are my nemesis, so this is a HUGE deal to me, I finally got my mill circle pretty solid, now I need my FHC). I'm pretty much working on getting back solidly the skills I had before I got hurt and needed surgery last year, and then some, obviously. Started doing FHS into the resi pit for the first time in over a year yesterday! And just for funsies, I did some front layouts from the TT into the pit today, but taking those to floor? A LONG ways away! I also have an almost fabulous lvl 4 vault now(I'm pretty equivalent to lvl 4) and have been working skills for FHS vault

Once I get my kip I will have all the elements for L5 bars! I haven't worked on vault very much lately, but I have the L4 vault but putting my hands on the table instead of just going onto mats, so I'll probably start working on fhs vault soon :] Finally got a really good ankle brace a couple months ago so I'm just starting to relearn bhs on TT. Also still working on shoulder flexibility so I can get my kickover and start working on bwo (I'm really really close to getting my kickover!!). Beam is always an issue for me, but I have a home beam now and it's really helping my confidence on beam. My school year is officially over as of today, so I'm looking forward to hopefully having a little more time in the gym!

Things are going pretty well for me. I just finished my first season as a level 8 and I am trying as hard as I can to get the skills for level 9. I need my tsuk with my coach standing away from the vault, and I did it with my coach standing on the floor by the vault so I hope I'm getting close to that :) My fhs-front layout front tuck on floor are getting more consistant, despite me being VERY afraid of them :(. I'm also working on my ro-bhs 3/2, so I can add another half and work 3/2 punch fronts. On bars I'm working on my shootovers (so scary) and trying to get them more consistant. On beam, my bhs-bhs are finally consistant, and I'm working bhs-bt on the low beam, and standing back tucks on the high beam :)

UPDATE: I did my fhs-front layout front tuck without any fear on Friday, then I went on to do 5 or 6 fhs-front layout-front pikes (also without any fear)!!! :D

update: i can now do my free cartwheels (aerials) on the tumble track! i tried them on saturday and the 1st one i tried i did it!
