I've posted a few times about DD's struggles throughout this season with back tumbling fear. She scratched 3-4 meets on floor because of this. Through many many many tears, and lots of frustration, she and her coach worked it out. Now she is pushing herself, "Mama, I did 2 back handsprings, I bet I can do 3....or 4!" (Then proceeded to do them). At states this weekend, she ended up taking first on floor in her age group!

Her coach wrote her the most inspiring letter and gave it to her at the meet. This is what gymnastics is really about ❤️❤️

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
