This is my DD's 2nd year of competition team but first year competing for placement. In her first meet she was placed into division 7 with an AA of 31.5. My understanding was that if she scored a 32 or higher two different meets she would be moved into the division that matched her scores. Yesterday she had her first meet for placement and scored

32.65 AA
9.25 Vault
8.4 Beam
7.9 Bars
7.1 Floor

She was moved to division 4. How did this happen? I am not saying it is wrong, I just don't understand how it was determined considering it was her first meet post placement and her AA really wasn't that high. Thanks!

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
