It just occurred to me that Justin Spring could go to the Olympics this summer as a coach only four years after competing in the 08 Bejing games.

Has any other gymnast gone from Olympic gymnast to coach during one Olympiad?

He has accomplished so much in the past few years, the last mens team as a whole seems to have it togeher.

no. but try to remember that the athletes come to him almost ready made. it's not the same as if he was coaching a club gymnast.:)
 
I understand. Its still an impressive accomplishment. At this level, they alhletes may be almost there, but the competition is that much harder and they still need guidance. His club coaches and parents must be very proud.
 
Justin could have won those Olympics. That is my only opinion.
But you can disagree with me. It's a free country.
