Okay im going into level 9 and it is getting a lot harder, i have accompished a lot of things since Gymnastics but this level is the hardest, so yeah but i can finally do a back flip and land it perfect! I am really scared to start a new level because there will be a lot of new tricks but i think i can handle them! Well tell me if you have advice for me while im going into level 9!
Thank you so much for the Advice,
Alyssa Sullivan :)

A new level means new challenges, new rewards, and more fun. With beginning a new level of course also may mean frustration, pain, etc. As an upper level optional gymnast (speaking from experience), it can extremely difficult to keep a positive attitude, but if you keep your eyes on your goals and try to see the positive in everything you'll be alright. I suggest making reasonable short term goals that will help you achieve your long term goals. Most importantly, never forget why it is that your first started gymnastics!

Hi shawnjohnsonfan,

I am a level 10 gymnast so I have been through level 9 too! In this level, concentrate on everything that you have been since you started gymnastics. Pretty much things will stay the same, except for the obviously more advance skills. I would suggest sitting down with your coach to construct your routines to best suit your ability and maximize your scores. Creating a game plan ensures that you know what's expected of you and your coach knows what your goals are. Continue to work on flexibility, injury prevention, and the performance aspect of the sport, as well as our favorite, conditioning! I wish you good luck and keep us on the board updated, please! Have fun!
