Ok,

I'm sure this is a silly question from a mom with no gym experience but I just wanted to see if this move my dd has been doing around the house is dangerous. I tell her no gymnastics in the house but she can't seem to help herself.

So she basically does a handstand and goes down to a bridge and then tries to stand up. Is looks like it wouldn't be safe for her shoulders. Again, I know nothing so I wanted to see if I should put a stop to it.

I know she trains this move with a kick over for L4 but why would she be trying to stand up? What is that? A front walk over? HELP!

I've heard it called a front limber. It's not dangerous, if your worried about her shoulders just remind her to try to keep her head in when she trys to stand up and not try to stand up with her head sticking way out in front.
But I personally wouldn't worry about it, although I'm one that does all kinds of stuff all around the house and I've never had a problem with getting hurt or anything.
Some are strictly against anything in the house, so you'll most likely get different opinions.

It's a front limber. She probably will not hurt herself doing it a few times but doing anything on a hard floor isn't best for the joints, and doing too many bridging skills at a time or using the lower back too much before shoulder strength is developed could cause (most likely soft tissue) injuries. I think you are right to limit it, suggest she work on holding her handstand "for a long time" without going the wrong way instead, or try to press up or down into her handstand.

perfectly safe...as long as you keep her away from the furniture and lamps.:)
