Sometimes our babies just need a hug and a kiss on the top of the head. DD, who is 8 now, prefers to work through her disappointments in silence. She carries herself with such dignity, even at the bottom of the line up, but once we are in the car or at the restaurant, away from her coaches and other gymnasts, she just wants a little comfort. That's all she needs and on Monday, she's over it and working harder. It's only in these few moments and the occasional nightmare that I feel like she still needs her mom & I'll take it! If you couldn't tell, she is my youngest child. My baby that's not so much of a baby anymore. :(
