Basically, I had another evaluation last week because I got my kip and vault (not the high bar kip though) and they said they would call us sometime during the week.

Heh, yeah, not really... My Mom had to call them today because they still hadn't called. :bored:

Well apparently, they don't think it's a "good idea" for me to come in during the middle of the season, DESPITE HAVING SAID that it was "okay not to start at the beginning of the year" the last time I tried out. So unless we can convince them to let me practice with the team, but not compete, I have to wait another 5 &@#$ing months. :ill:

YEAH I'M NOT GOIN INSANE OR ANYTHING!! :brokenheart:

10% of me is happy that at least I know I'll get to be on it in the spring, but the other 90% is having a seizure OMFG I CANNOT WAIT THAT LONG!!! YOU ALREADY MADE ME WAIT FOR AN ANSWER WHILE I WAS BUSY BEGGING SANTA FOR A YES :rottentomato:

Oh wow! that really sucks!!!! About a month and a half ago i was on level 4 waiting for an answer... they told me in june that i might go to level five and i was going to all the level 4 practices and one level 5 practices a week. And in november they FINALLY said that i would be moved up!!!!! :) (our competitive season hasn't started yet tho)

That sucks. I really hope they let you train with the team. You have worked so hard. Hugs.

It sounds like your parents need to have a talk with the gym owner and find out what is going on. I find that some folks either beat around the bush so long that you have to do it their way or they just forget what they promised.

Awwwww, I know how you feel. Do you think if you talk to them again or your parents they will considor it?? Just work really hard and work on getting all your skills to look really nice and maybe they might let you. Maybe you might not get ther highest scores but you rather try and fail then not try at all. Just tell them you really want to and I guess they best way to persue them is to umprove greatly wich means... CONDITION!! Well at home anyway where you don't have all the events. GOOD LUCK!!

I agree with those who think you should have your parents talk with the coaches. It sounds like you are working hard and are dedicated to the sport. What more do they want? Our coaches will let a gymnast compete a level even if they are missing a skill. Otherwise maybe look for another gym. I know it is hard to switch but each gym has a different philosophy and maybe you want one that is more laid back. You don't want your hard work to go un-noticed.

Good luck!

Thanks guys C: It's nice to know that the majority of people are on my side and I'm not just being a selfish brat. Lol

What bugs me is that they let other girls compete at that level when they aren't consistent/are missing things. I think one girl only just got her kip, and she had competed level 5 last year. Another girl has some serious problems on bars, like I do, accept that I can at least do a straight armed kip most of the time and a squat on in a straight line even though I have fear issues with the squat on... But she gets her kip maybe 4 times out of ten and they're all land-on-your-chest-and-muscle-your-way-up kips, and her squat on is a bit scary; she casts kind of sideways and lands with her feet next to her hands.

This girl works very hard and I respect that but it irks me to see people who are pretty much at the same level as me get treated as though they are better :(
