The board is a little dead. I thought maybe we could post what were are doing t&t wise like new skills, routines, levels, when your next or first meet is or if you are a coach how your kids are doing. :)

My dd doesn't do t&t but she does do rec trampolining. She is 6 years old and has just started ( you have to be 6 to do this in the gym where she goes). The trampolines are built into the ground at her gym

After 5 weeks of going she has learnt or is learning:

trampoline safety
How to stop safely
Seat drop return to feet
Seat drop 1/2 turn
Tuck jump
Straddle jump
pike jump.
front drop using a mat
knees to front drop
knees to front drop return to feet.
seat drop twist to seat drop.

at the moment she is working on her proficiency award badges starting with the first one.

Well my daughter is an artistic gymnast (age 8), but her club is big on tumbling and a lot of the artistic girls enter tumbling competitions as well as them having specialist tumblers up to elite/world class level.
We have three streams of tumbling - regional, national and elite.
Daughter has her first ever tumbling comp in February and she's doing National 1. She needs to compete three passes - ro flic (bhs), half turn ro flic (bhs); then dive forward roll, flysping (fhs?) rebound ro flic (bhs); then cartwheel, ro flic flic. I think - they keep making changes.
Actually we're really excited about this comp as it feels less pressured but her gym normally do well soo should be fun!

Our coaches' clinic was yesterday (I missed it, I have been ridiculously sick this weekend), & our judges' courses are next weekend.

I am LOVING that new level 5 starts with a back tuck instead of a backdrop pullover. It is much easier for them to maintain height.

DD decided to stop trampoline, but will continue with Double Mini and Tumbling.

I do not know what her 4 passes are for double mini but she is working on a barani with a full twist dismount.

Her tumbling passes are: Round off, 5 handsprings, straight jump (compulsory) and Round off, whip, 3 back handsprings, layout half twist. She is working on the layout full twist.

And I think I got all those right, lol.

My daughters first meet will be in Roy UT Jan 18. She will be competing Lvl 6 in Tumbling and DM

DD first meet is the same weekend and it is also our home meet. She's thinking about qualifying elite in tumbling, but with only fiver practices until the meet, I'm not sure that will happen. She competes tumbling, dm and tramp. I can't wait to watch her compete on team again!

DD is excited about this year. She has only been Tumbling about 2 1/2 years and this isher 2nd year co
Competing. Her goal is JO Nationals in July and she is working hard to reach it

I'm certified to judge all 3 events now.

...so my goal is for all my athletes to qualify to nationals on at least 1 thing (even if they don't go) & to go JUDGE. Cuz, well, big deal gig is a big deal. And I might be the only judge in the US who'd be totally content doing 'difficulty' for level 5 & 6 tumblers all week if that's what they needed.
