Hey,
So I know Chalkbucket is not a place for medical advice, but I'm just looking for some thoughts.
I sprained my ankle today doing a roundoff on floor (was doing RO Layout). It hurt as bad as regular sprains do, I stayed off of it for about an hour, iced and did some PT. It hurts to point and flex (if I point or flex hard enough). Inversion also hurts.
I have my state meet on Sunday. This is going to be last state meet as I'm a high school senior. Would it be okay if I taped up my ankle and wore a brace to compete? There is nothing I won't do to be able to compete. I plan on doing RICE and PT every single day leading up to state in hopes that it will help. Any thoughts? This might sound childish but I'll compete no matter what (even if I hurt something else), I just need to figure out the safest way to do it.
