Parents Summer 2026 camps

I’m looking for ideas in US for girl summer camps. I’d prefer all-day camp (no sleep over) and especially if they have consecutive weeks.

Specifically looking for a 7 yr old that is probably somewhere between a L2 and L3. And it would be great if they had something recreational for a 5 yr old, too.

We live outside the US but will have a 6 week period this summer to spend back in the US and we are trying to pick a location that will have a summer program so I can telework during that period, only limit is that is has to be a US location.

My daughter is a 6yo competitive gymnast and her absolute favorite camps this past summer 2025 were International Gymnastics Camp (IGC, in Pennsylvania) and Olympia Gymnastics Camp (OGC, which takes place in multiple states). IGC has both sleepaway and day options, and OGC is day only. She had a blast at both and we are planning to do both again in summer 2026.

Can you find a local gym to train at? In our area some gyms would never allow this, but others have expat families who come “home” for 6-8 weeks every summer and their girls train with our team during their school breaks. It’s more girls at the optionals level but you should call around and see if there are gyms that would be open to it. It would be easier than stringing together a bunch of camps unless you’re going to be located close to some of the ones mentioned above.

Thank you for your reply! This is what if prefer, but I called last year and having children come for 6 weeks wasn’t something they were interested in. I’m sure it disrupts the normal team dynamics, so it’s hard to find.

Your best bet is probably to find a local gym to train at for the summer, a lot of them even offer summer day camp options. Large gymnastics camps will be extremely expensive for multiple weeks, and likely don’t have options for the 5 year old.
Thank you! I agree- so do most US classes continue over summer with the same hours? Here our gym has a 8 week break, where they offer recreational camps.

Thank you! I love the look of IGC- did you have her stay overnight or do the daycamp option? Looking for somewhere nearby to potentially stay

She did the two 3-day “mini camps” (the first as a day camper, the second as an overnight camper) and loved both. The general area has several hotels/motels, resorts w/ water parks, and rental properties. We stayed at a rental home with good internet access so I was able to work & attend zoom meetings while she was at camp. As someone else pointed out, it was expensive (at least double the cost of her home gym rec camp, which itself is expensive given that we live in a metro area). On the other hand, even as a day camper, the hours were significantly longer than her home gym rec camp (so I got more work done), and they provided meals & snacks (so I didn’t have to pack anything), both of which were helpful to me as a working parent.
