Looking for some advice on how to explain to coaches that not everyone on their team is ready for a BHS. I work with multiple schools in my area weekly and there’s a preconceived idea that by doing a one hour tumbling class I can just give everyone a BHS. Most of the athletes are lazy and think they are above doing drills. I often get “just spot me a couple times and then I’ll throw it”. Along with the coach telling each one to line up to be spotted in a BHS when they can’t do a proper roundoff. I’ve found it’s hard to explain that without prior fundamentals this skill is likely not going to happen. I know the prior instructor they had they fired because they didn’t gain skills quick enough.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
