is what dd told me today after practice when she decided to run REALLY, REALLY fast on her vault. Um... isn't that what we have ALL been saying for two and half years now :) I didn't say that though I did laugh a bit. She has been struggling with getting a decent fhs vault for going on three years. I guess sometimes they just have to figure it out for themselves . I do think watching the National championships this weekend inspired her. She heard several times that most of the vault comes down to just how fast you run.

That's funny. My dd came home 2 days ago and said she told her teammates that she was going to run like the boys do. Her coach told her it was one of her best vaults.

It was definitely her best vaulting as well. I hope she keeps it up!

Hard work = easy gymnastics

Easy work = hard gymnastics

At least that's what I've always told the kids.

Totally agree. However, it was more realizing that bending her arms and getting her knees high could produce improved results. Hard work + more knowledge + body awareness = easy gymnastics.
