That must be a typo, I would be happy to pay only 15k for 10 yrs of gymnastics.

:eek::D
I was thinking the same thing! I am sure we have surpassed that already, and we're 27 months into this. And that's only counting one of my two girls. If it isn't a typo, she should count herself extremely lucky.

Whatever monies spent on kids sports and extracurriculars ( gymnastics falls in this category) should never impact college saving!
Sorry, and when my DD gets her full ride at a D1 college, DH and I are taking a loooooong vacation with what we saved! LOLOLO!

Maybe $15,o00 per year? I just did the math and with monthly fees, routines, leos, travel to meets across the country, hotels, coaches travel and per diem, session fees, camps, etc. it was scarily close to that (guess I shouldn't have done the math....)

Shoot! I just added up this year's expenses (excluding all the training leos, grips, tiger paws, medical and PT expenses) and I am over $15k for this year.

Yes, that was 15,000 per year for 10 years...$150,000
I am close to that with just tuition and camp and fees....and I dont like considering the travel meets as costs for the whole family because its kinda a 'vacation'.....its the only way i feel good with myself....(oh, the lies)

and yes, there is a college fund....

Oh, I forgot to add in PT and medical and time off work for meets and.....:eek::eek:

Lalalala, my fingers are in my ears, I can't heeeeeeeeeaaaaar you!!!! That right there is the math of NOPE for me. Not doing it, not now, not ever.

Haha! I'm with you, happily in denial and I will resist any temptation to add up expenses….
