Off Topic Trends at Your Gym

What activewear is trending at your gymnastics gym?
At mine it is anything Nike Pro, and also Cotton on Body and Ell & Voo. Crocs are the trending footwear.
These trends obviously also exist outside of the gym, I know, so I assume are similar at your gym too?

Nike pros are definitely big at my gym. I would say it makes up 95 percent of the shorts worn on any given day

This is fun! I imagine it’s very regional. It’s always interesting to see how different things are in other parts of the country.

I’m on the west coast per my username and the girls here are very into Gym Gear leotards, Ugg slippers, and these giant fleece poncho things from Costco, which they insist on wearing without pants as they go in or out of the gym.

It’s a thing for the upper optionals to walk into Saturday morning practice with fleece blankets which they snuggle in until the very last minute before practice starts. (I think they forget to change the heat timing schedule for Saturdays!)

Also on West Coast (OR even) and yes! the gigantic fleece poncho things with no pants are a thing at our gym too! So far daughter hasn't asked for one, but good to know Costco is a source if she does...

Nike pros are also a big thing at my gym (I’m in Kansas). There’s lots of others but to name just a few, Stanleys, Owalas, and most of all,slick backs!

Haha! I imagine they wear shorts under the fleece things but you can barely see them, not just no pants?
Our gym is actually in an old factory shed thing and it gets sooooo cold sometimes! We'll be wearing wooly socks just because we have to or our feet will go completely numb, then our male coach walked in one day with these floppy black sock-shoe things which were like socks with soles on the bottom and made him look like some sort of Daffy Duck character from luney tunes!

Everyone is saying lululemon and that hasn't happened at our gym yet! It is trending outside of gym. Everyone used to wear slides from Nike or elsewhere to gym but now its just crocs.
Also, wearing either a scrunchie or now more commonly a ribbon which matches your leotard is popular.
Is the hair ribbon thing happening everywhere or only where I am?

I'm ALSO on the West Coast (Southern California) and at all the gyms I've been too its always Nike Pros. At my old gym it was either Leo with no shorts (that was very popular) or Nike Pros. At my current gym is ALWAYS Nike Pros

A super cute trend in Vegas is for girls to wear a pony tail exactly on top of their head. They pull the hair half way through on the last loop, leaving a tail hanging down the back, and a darling poof on top that bounces all over. I see this a lot on college teams, too. A new trend I don't like is for girls to take their arms out of their leotard mid-practice and push it down around their waist. I mean, they do have a work out bra on, but the top half of their leotard is all scrunched up above their shorts. This goes on all winter, so It's not a heat thing. If they think it's cool, so be it.
