We are competing the same meet as Beetle this weekend same session. Level 8 1st year for my DD.

It is my fav to be at meet with CB friends and get to cheer kids on togeteher.

My DD needs a tsuk fairy she can do them when she tries. She has a fear right now that leaves her in tears during her tsuks. Oh the joy of 14 year old girls.

So please send us those faires she really does not want to handspring again this year she did at the first meet.

Thanks!!

Sending her that tsuk fairy! But also bear in mind that she will do it when she is really ready and a perfect HS can knock the snot off an awful tsuk!

Have fun with the chalkbucketeers!

sending the tsuck faries your way!!! have fun with all the other chalk bucket moms!!!

How exciting to be in the same session. Good Luck!! Sending the Tsuk fairy.

Thanks Bog its hard to remeber that she will do it eventually but you are right she will get it eventually.

I would like 1 year where she doesn't struggle with anything is this possible?? Ok maybe if i want that she should have done a different sport. LOL

It seems like that at Level 8 in Mn USAG even with the HS start vaule being 9.0 you don't see a score over about 8.3 for a HS vault. Does anyone else seem to think this??

I totally know how you feel, it seems with gym there is always one skill that is a struggle, but knowing that they willl get it seems to keep them working at it. They are amazing and tenacious.

This happens everywhere, even internationally. These are some of the reason (right or wrong) I have heard from sitting on the judging panel.
"If her handspring really was that great she would be doing a harder vault" because you know, gymnasts don't have fear issues or anything
" An elite/my gymnast (who happens to be three levels higher) can do that much better" they have a serious problem if they can't do it better.
"We need to reward those who have attempted something difficult" but if they don't point their toes we will hammer them
"We need to leave room for a gymnast who gets more height/length" this is probably the only fair reason
And of course there was the one judge who I swear was saying in their head "Well they are not from my gym"
