My tumbling passes are ROBHSBT and RO layout. Im apparently not finishing my set. On the trampoline, I’ve heard a correction about something about my hips. I’m not sure what it was but something about why i’m not flipping and just going up and coming straight down.Gonna need a bit more detail before I can help you.
What is the tumbling pass? I can give a lot more specific suggestions if I know what skill you're doing.
Assuming we're referring to some sort of salto element, you should take off with your head neutral and your arms approximately vertical, and try to hold that position until you're clear of the floor. Throwing your head doesn't make you rotate, it just makes you feel like you're rotating. With any flipping skill, 90% of the time the best way to improve it is to work it on a trampoline.
Thanks for the advice, quick question though. When do I know to stop looking at the object? I feel like I’m not flipping until I throw my head back.Look for a spot on a wall that is higher up on the wall. My gym has a line that runs along the wall about 10-12 feet above the floor that I look for in tumbling
You start rotating at the highest point after your set. So you should look as long as you can until you aren't rising anymore and then rotate (this might not fully happen in practice, but kind of the ideal goal)Thanks for the advice, quick question though.
