Please help 🙏
I have been doing bhs step outs on the beam for a little over a year now but I keep chucking my head over my shoulder instead of directly backwards. I can’t feel it or seam to fix it please give me help. My coach is always looking for ways to fix it but it’s really hard because I can’t even feel it.

this is what it looks like ⬇️

Hi there, I just created an account not to long ago. I saw that this has remained unanswered. For the BHS stepout, your hips are turning due to your front leg turning inwards (or letting your hips rotate out to the right) this can be fixed by rotating your left hip to the left or keeping your lead leg (left) open. As for the BHS stepout not gaining any height, you can drill yourself onto an 8in mat or panel mat.

You have to remember that you have to separate your skills. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to me here. I may have a delayed response since I have started to stream again on twitch to build a community.

Let me know if this helps.
