oohh - this is fab and well worth a watch - it follows a group of gymnasts through to the selection of the team for the 2008 olympics - many of the gymnasts featured are still competing for their country. I'm so glad that you posted this link - I watched it on Iplayer, but by the time I got to show it to my DD it had disappeared

I don't think it is flippinlolly- she would have only been 12/13 4 years ago, and not eligible for beijing. The Laura it features is Laura jones I think.

My mum said its really heartbreaking in places, so I haven't watched...

The end is very emotional - the girls that are left in the selection group are gathered in a hallway at guildford sports centre, with family, friends, press etc all waiting in the sports hall. The girls are told which of them will be going to the olympics - those successful are crying, the unsuccessful are crying, and everyone consoling each other. Then the successful girls are announced to the audience and go out to applause, while the rest of the group remain in the hallway. It was hard to watch - the documentary charts how close knit they have become as a group, and the girls in the hallway worked just as hard as the girls in front of the cameras.
