The 50 won't do it. The 50 is great for portraits of a single subject or a couple. Think-shooting babies. :) It isn't exactly about the lens so much as the fact you must shoot in manual mode. This way you can adjust things in order for the low light of the meets without using a flash and still catch the action. Sometime sports mode is good. Those are the only 2 we ever use. We tend to use the 200 VR and sometime the 300 VR. The vibration reduction feature helps a lot as well as a tripod. Hope this helps!

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
