MAG Where do you find pants for you sons

I have a clothing issue. In the first picture ds is in size 7 skinny pants. In the second he is in size 6 regular. Any place you have had good luck finding pants for your sons with gymnast shaped bodies?

Old Navy and Crazy 8 have always been our best bet. Also, ds prefers cargo pants which do have a different fit than straight pants. All sweats must have a drawstring too.

Skinny jeans from The Children's Place. Fortunately he can wear shorts most of the year here- we have that same issue. We had a hard time finding a pair for his grandmother's funeral and Easter - found some at The Children's Place.

D is now fairly normal sized...in that he wears regular clothes. his brother, on the other hand, needs a size 26/36 pant, which does not exist. He wears at 30/36. When they get bigger, American Eagle online is great with lots of different sizes.

I know the buckle carries 28/36. My son is rather stocky, borderline chubby. He's very solid like my husband and short like him too! My son needs about a 28/28. We shop through the sales on the buckle's website bc I hate paying $80 for a pair of jeans that I know he will not take care of and will eventually destroy or outgrow! BUT I have found that online, they have some they sale for about $40, which is still a bit pricey for a 10 year old, but I get him a pair or two when school starts.

From my wife- she said our super skinny ds gymnast wears gap slim fit for boys- orders them online. Only ones that ever fit him, he is 45in and 38lbs almost 8 yrs old and wears size 6 slim.

We buy Mini Boden, mainly. It's expensive, but we get coupons and hit their sales. My super skinnies can even wear their sweatpants! Gap and Children's place next, but my kids dislike jeans.

My son is 48.5 inches tall and 57 lbs and is very trim through the waist. He has a 21" waist. We buy, almost exclusively, Old Navy boot cut jeans in 8 slim. They seem to fit really well and they're cheap!

Thank you all for the suggestions. I tried the SKINNY fit hopping they wouldn't be so baggy in the legs, well that didn't work. I guess I'll give slim or super skinny a try. He is 8 and 49 inches tall 52lbs.

This has been such a challenge for us too. I buy most pants and jeans at Old Navy. Target's Denizen line has worked well too. Sweats and athletic pants are the worst -- even with the drawstring waist, they are usually so baggy. Unfortunately, those are DS's favorites!

I am glad DS hates jeans, because there is no way we'd ever be able to accommodate his string bean needs cheaply. He wears a lot of drawstring athletic PANTS (take that, you giggling Brits) that are either too short or too baggy. And now he's even getting to the point of being too long and lean for regular ole GK pommel pants -- his leg length is AXS, but the waist material is huge. 10.0 makes a long length that fits well, but he can't compete in them because the team is in special order GKs. So compete this weekend he will in pommel pants with a crotch about 2-3" below his actual crotch. UGH!

Between this issue and the gymnast shoulder issue and the long arms issue, I think I had better start saving now for all the tailoring that will be necessary for his bar mitzvah suit. We were barely able to get away with off the rack for his sister's bat mitzvah because the jacket, while a little tight through the shoulders, hid a multitude of clothiering woes.

Its not just the boys, I have real problems with school Uniform for Pink. She needs age 11/12 or length but age 9 waist & hips, I make them myself because I can't buy them.

Our lives generally don't call for anything special, and we also live where you can get by with shorts most of the time. However, we are going on an Alaska cruise and dressing for dinner is expected. We are also spending a week in Seattle before the cruise so we need some warm options. I am about to hit the girls section, with they didn't make the elastic pink!!

I believe the brand Arizona makes a slim cut, flat front chino that is actually slim.
Most slim cuts are like a regular cut 10 yrs ago. It's really hard to find a true slim.

I've had success with Children's Place skinny jean in slim, but not as much with their chinos. The skinny jean is tight through the leg, but is a regular size in the waist and seat. You need the slim cut.

We have our biggest problem with swim trunks. My 9 year old has to wear 5/6, if he is lucky and they are cut right. He wore a 5/6 to a party and he was jumping on the trampoline. His swim trunks came right off of him. He was mortified!

Mind you I have the opposite problem with Big Boy, he is a rugby player so his thighs and glutes are massive, no skinny or slim fit for him

I have saved all of my oldest's skinny/slim pants. BUt none of them will fit D!
