Windows Live Movie Maker

Ugh! New laptop with Windows 7 so now I have to use new Movie Maker and there's no longer the option to snap stills from video. Also used Windows Live to upload from camera and all of my videos are in MOV format so I can't even upload them to One True Media! I need something easy that also lets me snap stills. Suggestions??

For the still photos I would suggest VLC. It's a great media player that plays many different types of media and it allows you to take pictures of the video.
