Ok I had to tell someone. My dd is almost 5 1/2 years old. at open gym on saturday she did two straddle press handstands in a row without touching the ground! she did it two times. i'm sure it will take a LONG time for this to get consistant but at least if she gets a controlled first straddle press handstand then she can do two! it was pretty neat to watch! now if only she could remember to point her toes for EVERYTHING:-)
thanks for letting me share!

YEAH! I love mommy brags!

My daughter was working on hers all Summer & almost had them. She is 6 and it was something that she was really going for. Then they started working on routines and didn't spend as much time with the TOPS training. I am thinking they will go back to it again in Jan. It's fun to watch the little ones doing them though, they make it look soooo easy don't they?

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
