No good for gymnastics in WA, it is going to be very hard for clubs to step up, It will take ages for those clubs to go from coaching ndp and IL 1-10 to coaching senior elite. The gyms with great coaches don't have the best facilities and the gyms with great facilities don't necessarily have...
I did the exact same thing when I was younger. Doing flyaway drills and swinging of the rings to land onto our backs on a mat. I missed the mat and landed straight into my coccyx on the hard floor. It hurt like mad for the first few days and felt like it was broken, but it eventually healed...
Inflatable floors are probably easier to learn new skills on because they give you lot's of height, they can also be a pain for easier skills because they send you all over the place. Inflatable floors need a different rhythm to tumble on then a sprung floor. Keep the inflatable floor for...
Earbuds are possibly not the best idea, but if the girls want to listen to music play a song out loud that they can all listen to. Look up uptown abs workout at gymnastic gym in YouTube. You could even do something like that it would be fun for the girls

Our girls love doing strength on the boys equipment because it's a bit different to other strength. On the pommel with handles our girls do pike holds, straddle holds or pike and straddle presses and Russian lever holds depending on there level. On the mushroom one girl lays down with her hips...
At our gym some do step outs and some do two feet. The stepouts are more popular with the flexible girls with nice lines and the two feet is more popular for girls with less flexibility but lots of power. I do stepouts, two feet seems much scarier and less controlled for me.
At our club we do physical testing every month and do routines in front of the other squads. I never feel nervous when I we do this. To be honest at competitions I am usually fine and calm for the warmup, and everything in between but as soon at I present to the judges I get extremely nervous.
Every competition I get super nervous and mess up easy skills. I am level 7, I started gymnastics late so I don't have as much competition experience as other girls in my level. (I skipped a few levels). I get so upset and frustrated because I work so hard in the gym for 20+ hours a week and...
I'm from Australia, and while most gyms do have air con our gym actually doesn't!! Also I think since cheer isn't so common in Australia the the crop top aren't seen as a cheer thing
So today on shawn's Instagram account she announced that she has been writing a novel for young adults. The book is about a high school sophomore who keeps her gymnastics life a secret. I personally am really excited for shawn and will be reading it. The book is currently available from Simon...
Typically in our gym many of the girls wear "crop tops" instead of leotards. Although leotards are of course still worn often. I was just wondering whether crop tops are allowed instead of leotards at your gym and whether leotards or crops tops are the preferred choice of attire for your gymnasts.
