    [Meet] Hiring a Choreographer question?

As long as she knows from her gym coaches what passes (tumbling and leap) and turn needs are to be included, I think it would be fine. I'd ask dance choreographer person to watch last year's floor routine and listen through the music for the "when to tumble" and "When to leap" before she / he...

Anon Homeschooling for gymnastic training regrets and positives?

We have always homeschooled, so never "taken a kid out of traditional school". Oldest is in college and youngest in middle school. No regrets from an academic or gym standpoint for us, but there are some tradeoffs (school dancer, friends outside of sports/dance, grocery budget (homeschooled...

Parents Been a very long time

My oldest just finished her freshman year in college and was on the team (D3). She's training this summer with her baby sister, but our gym really doesn't feel the same and has struggled with the midlevels not receiving consistent or competent coaching, it makes me sad. I wish we had safe...

Parents Spin-off from College Thread - Can we talk D3?

I love to hear this. My oldest gymnast will be at a D3 out east in the fall. It checked all of her college boxes (except the close to home part) and she is so excited.

Women Can giants be the only circling skill for level 6?

UASG JO L6? giants aren't required. typical routines in our region are Kip, clear hip, pike on, kip CHS, flyaway. Or kip, pike on, kips, CHS, Clear hip to HS, flyaway. Some girls do do a giant, but it is not the norm.

Parents Adjusting to wearing a bra for gymnastics

We have liked justice and under armor sports bras and there is a new-ish company founded in an amazing mission for "regular" girls bras called Bluet. I actually love them too. (I am not sure my girls wear them under leos though)
