    WAG cast handstand taking forever

Looking back at event finals, all of the top 3 finishers competed straddle handstands :)

    WAG Springs on the springboard

Your daughter may be right. Having more springs (more potential energy) is only good if you can access that energy. If she doesn't have a lot of power on the board, then having fewer springs would allow her to get more bounce because the springs will, well, spring more.

    WAG Melody Leotards?

I have had a very good experience with Melody's leotards. It took a few weeks to get my leotard, but it was also around Christmas time, so I'm sure that affected it. The quality is great, it fits like my gk leos (it's a competition leo), and overall I'm really happy with it. I haven't had to...

WAG any word on optionals' vault in 2013?

I completely agree...I like the idea of competing with the Level 4 vault mat behind the vault table and doing a timer to your back better than just doing a repulsion and trying to stick it as, based on my personal experience, I would have to decrease the power of my timer to land it on my feet...

WAG It's that time of year again...(science fair)

That's a good idea, I'm not taking physics this year, but I have the physics teacher for AP Calculus, so I'll ask him after class today. And thanks, Bella's mom :)

Round off back tucks and layouts... going backwards

For the last one...try stretching your feet out behind you more in your round off. If your feet are underneath you like the would be to go into a back handspring and then you try to set, you are going to go more back than you will up. Having your feet behind you more forces you to go up. This...

WAG It's that time of year again...(science fair)

Thank you both so much! So, amending my original idea a bit...if I just test my theory using straight jumps and the calculations you mentioned, wallinbl, then add a "practical" aspect at the end to prove my point where I do the calculations for an example (double back, back layout, front...

WAG It's that time of year again...(science fair)

So it is time once again to turn in my science fair proposal. Last time I got some great help and advice from you guys (thanks!) and I was hoping for some more help :) I have an idea of what I want to do, but no clue how to go about doing it or if it is even realistic. It is common knowledge...

    WAG Level 9 bars deductions

I'm not quite sure what you mean. You should not be getting a deduction either way, barring form breaks, etc. A handstand half pirouette directly to an overshoot should get bonus, while a half pirouette kip cast overshoot would not, but you shouldn't be getting a deduction either way...

what level would i be in the USA?

Ok, yeah, that makes more sense to me :p I would say that is about right with Level 9. The only requirement you would be missing is a dismount like a double back or a toe-front.

what level would i be in the USA?

Probably around a level 9. The only event I would not say 9 for sure is bars, because I'm not familiar with all the terms. Everything else sounds like a solid level 9, though :)

WAG Does this level 7 beam have enough a b skills

We would need more info...what are all the skills in her routine? She's fine on b's but would need more info to tell about a's
