I might be wrong, I don’t think you will get credit for the second cast/free hip. Most likely you need a different entry. You could probably do the free hip on the high bar to get the credit.
How are meets affected when there is a snow storm? I have a meet next week and there’s around 12-17 inches of snow the night before. Would the meet be cancelled, moved to a different weekend, or simply just be skipped?
I don’t think there’s much to do before going to the gym. Personally, I would just open them from the package and take them to the gym. Your coaches could probably help you break them in.
I’m not sure what a lever is, but some acro B skills are round offs, BHS step out, front walkovers, I think FHS step out too. If she’s competing next weekend, I think front pike dismount, 1.5 turn, or tuck 1/2 jump would be easier to put in.
Usually I’m quite score driven, but this year my goal is to have fun, and not care about the scores. Just trying to loosen up at meets and not glue my eyes to the scoreboard after my routine.

Is the tap swing 1/2 turn 1/2 dismount still an allowable dismount for XP? Has anyone competed this?
I’ve been wondering the same thing. I’m a platinum who struggles with dropping from the clear hip. Only other way I’ve seen an exit of a clear hip is on the high bar + dismount. From what I’ve seen on another post, it should be allowed but the only problem would that it may not be counted.
I keep bringing my knees up to the bar instead of my toes in my kip. How do I bring my toes instead (gliding out more, shooting my feet up more)?
Also any general kip tips? I’m so inconsistent and recently they haven’t been working. What helped you guys get your kips? Any tips, techniques, etc...
I think I could get bars down in two months. I wouldn’t mind my score, but I’m sure my coaches would if I get those throughout the season. All my teammates are doing three kips in their routines, and a clear hip.
Currently, I’m working towards platinum. My noticeable trouble spot is bars. I can’t kip, and my free hip is somewhat there. I’m above or meet the requirements on the other events. I have a meet coming up in November, and I know that I won’t have a bar routine put together by then.
