The question is as a parent when did you know. You tagged me earlier and I was going to leave it alone, but what does injuries or a burn out have to do with a parent knowing when your kid is good enough for D1?
Call it weird, but I knew when my daughter was a level 7 she would become an elite and get a full scholarship, to the point where I was going back-and-forth with people on this group about it. When her scores changed from 33AA to 38+AA and she really was loving the sport at that point we knew.
Well my daughter always knew Florida was her top choice since she was 9 years old. We told her she couldn’t do more than five visits, and Florida wanted to be first. Once she stepped foot on the campus it was a wrap
At midnight on June 15th she got her first call and an offer. The other schools they scheduled a call then told her their offers. As far as the visits, she starts this coming week. What made her decided on the school, I can’t speak on that right now.
I believe everyone told her good luck and give it a try. The poster was asking about the skills her daughter currently has, and also thinking she had one more year of Jr. Elite. Nobody said anything negative or it’s impossible for her to qualify
Just look at Gabbie Hardy she’s 15 and she’s a Sr. Elite because her birthday is in like November. They don’t care for what month they turn 16. Your kid can be 15 and her birthday is December 31st. Once January 1st hits you have to try for Sr. Elite
