Hello, I'm wondering what the experience of national congress is like. My gym is currently planning on paying for me and several of our other coaches to attend congress as its in our state this year. I've never been, but have been coaching since 2014 and currently have no goals of becoming a...

Is anyone going to National Congress this year in Rhode Island? I'm always up for a good rendezvous; lunch, dinner, drinks, whatever! I've meet a few ChalkBucketeers at congress in the past, and I always enjoy sharing knowledge, notes, and laughs with fellow colleagues. :)
Are any of you giving...
I'm here, and I've already run into a couple people. If enough of us are here, perhaps we could get together for a CB lunch meetup tomorrow.
In the meantime, I'm the guy with poofy curly shoulder-length blond hair and a 2012 Olympic Trials shirt; if you'd like to say hi, feel free.
I want to attend the USAG National Congress in Pittsburgh this year. I'm interested in going for the entire event (all four days) because I want to attend as many clinics and presentations as I can, as well as being able to see the P&G Championships.
My questions are:
If I want to attend the...
Anybody else here? I've already run into at least one of you. If you see a guy with big fluffy blond hair and a cal sports center shirt, that's me; feel free to come say hi
Hi!!
So the National Congress is near where i live this year so i figured why not go. SO i wanted know how do i register, how much does it cost, and do I have to be a member of USAG to be able to register. Also what should i expect. Do they really spot people on things right there?
Thanks!!
I have gone to USAG Congress the past two years - first Regional in CA and last year the National Congress. This year I have the choice of going to Regional (in IA) or National Congress. Is there any benefit of going to Regional rather than National, besides not spending as much money on travel...
So.
Who else is gonna be there? :D
First time going to a National Congress...(been to plenty of regional ones)
If there was already a thread on this, I'm sorry I didn't find it with the search function!
So, who went? What were your favorite seminars?
I went to mostly rec topics. Loved listening to Beth Gardner and Patti Komara. They both have great information and ideas, as did many presenters, but they just really stood out to me because of how succinctly and enthusiastically they...
I am signed up to test at congress for compulsory level's. Do I have to attend certain classes to be able to take the test or can I just come on sunday and take the test. I am going to congress and I plan to take the classes on judging compulsory courses but I was just wondering if I had to make...
At congress, is there going to be an opportunity to take the test to become a judge.
And if there is and you haven't tested to become a judge before, can you take the 5/6 and the 7/8 test at the same time or do you have to wait a year before you can take the 7/8 test.
I have been trying to...
We are a small gym in Region 8, 2 optionals and about 20 compulsory gymnast. None of our coaches or gym representatives are scheduled to go to the Region 8 Regional Congress. My questions are; will we miss out on a lot of new information, as parents should we suggest someone go, have parents...
This year my mom and I are going to the Olympic Trials. We are wondering if spectators are allowed in Congress Hall where all the booths are with the leos and everything. I heard there is a fee to pay to get in but I don't know how much. Then someone told me you have to register for around 200$...
So this year my mom and I are going to all four days of the Olympic Trials. I am wondering how the congress hall works. I have heard many things but I would like to know if you pay to get in(a coach at a local gym told me) or does it work another way?
