My dd gets rips all the times on her hands during the bars practice. Yesterday she had a meet and she could not compete on bars cause her hands were bleeding :-( it was so sad!! Her coaches do not let her use tape at practice NOR at meets, or any other sort of protection. I do not understand...
Hey, so I have been having problems with my tape grips. They work, but they get all bunched up on my hands. It is really uncomfortable. I just attach the grips to myself with a strip around my wrist. Is there another way to make grips so that they don't bunch up? Or another way to tape them on?
Hey guys,
When you apply/use athletic tape, do you leave it on the whole day like during school etc.? or do you only apply and use it during gymnastics or sporting activities?
Thanks!! :)
Oh & what do you apply under the tape so it doesn't hurt when you take it off?
Alright I had a meet yesterday and it was the first meet with our new leotards.
They look great but are SUPER highcut!! (GK Brand) and they give wedgies beyond belief!!!
It got to a point that in the middle of my floor routine I was pretty positive my butt was showing which may be cute on a 7...
Just to clarify, I'm not looking for medical advice!
I'm wondering how to properly tape an ankle. My left one has been giving me some trouble, so my coach thinks I should have it taped or put a brace on for a little while. I'm not going the brace way yet, but I will if it continues! Thing is...
Well, it turns out that what ds thought was pain caused by his ankles was actually caused by falling arches. The orthopedist recommended he wear arch supports in his shoes and to keep his shoes on during gymnastics for the next 3 weeks. He's not supposed to do tumbling or vault until his feet...
My ds10 has complained of the inside of his ankle hurting for about a week now. His coach says he just needs to tape it and continue training since there is no swelling or bruising, and he never really did anything like twist it or roll it, it just started hurting. So all last week he trained...
I've been ripping each time on bars because my rip drys and cracks, even when i follow the steps like wash, put bag overnight, lotion, etc. So when i was on bars i used my gym's tape and it worked so good over my fresh rip. I couldt feel any pain. But i'm wondering what kind it was? it wasn't...
Has anyone tried the leotard glue or tape? If so does it actually work? Also where did you get it from?
Best brands?
Sorry for all the questions. Any feedback is great!
Thanks <3
How's THAT for two totally unrelated topics??
We were informed earlier this week that the HC would like the girls to wear a little color for competition - blush and lipstick/lipstain. Any recommendations for a fair skinned brunette? Q's coloring is totally different than mine, so I'm...
My dd sprained her ankle a few weeks ago. She's just been released from the doctor to train - yay!. I want to get a brace/support for her to give that ankle some extra support. I bought her the ASO brace, but she said it was slippery on the beam. Do you any of you have experience with this brace...
Dollar Store
We get good quality tape there for just $1. Any of those type stores will have that tape. We generally buy a dozen rolls at a time and it never goes to waste. Some of them also have prewrap.
DD has a meet tomarrow and ripped really bad today. It is about the size of a nickel on her palm. I have been reading past articles looking for information on rips and several of them mention taping a rip for a meet. So how do I do this and what do I need? Please help asap.
DD has been having her arm wrapped since getting her cast off. She also wears a Link Removed but her tape extends beyond the brace. first competition is coming. We have been using regular white sports tape. Does she need skin color tape for the competition? If so, where do I find it or will...
What do you use to wrap the hands when you have a rip? DD says the open skin stings, but bandaids won't stick. They use a prewrap and tape them at the gym, but I don't know where to get it or what it's called. I tried gauze and first aid tape, but it's not working too well. I don't want them...
