im trying to get a front aerial on beam but its so hard to do it standing!!!! im also working on bhs stepout back layout step out. any tips on how to get these?? :)

I never did an aerial on the beam, but I had a good standing one. In fact, I used to be able to do several in a row from a stand. The best advice I can give you is:

1) Think about your take off leg. You have to push the ground away from you with that leg. Bend it and use push hard.
2) Your other leg needs to lift high as you can. Use the same type of heel drive you use for vaulting.
3) Keep your chest up!

Good luck!
