WAG Age group question

I got a vault medal last weekend (I scratched ) because my age group only had 4 girls in it that showed up

At most meets you will find it fairly evenly divided. However, some states have rules about the age span allowed within an age group (often no more than 2 or 3 years apart), so you may see the youngest and/or oldest group with less girls than the middle groups to accommodate this rule. We were just at a meet that always breaks the girls into equal groups of 11-12 girls, but the oldest group had only 2 girls because the college club team participated in the meet.
