I have really bad ankle problems and I am looking for ankle supports for both feet any suggestions ?

http://www.respromedical.com/MedSpec-EVO-Speed-Lacer-Ankle-Brace_p_160.html

This is the preferred brand of athletic trainers for college athletes and professionals.
Seriously, my ds, his coach, and every other hurt ankle in the gym has one ( not due to any coach's rec. but all separately getting them through medical provider.) it's a pretty awesome brace. But if you are having problems you should first talk to a doctor, see what the problem
Is. Maybe get PT.

I would also always use specialists who have some knowledge of sports medicine - gymnastics knowledge is a huge bonus. When DD broke her ankle... took her to an ortho, had her all patched up and ready to go after 6 weeks in a boot - but he put the idea in momma-bears head that she seems to train an awful lot and that she should consider taking summers off o_O. Obviously no idea how this sport works. Now dealing with a battle at home that could potentially halt her progression if not outright end her gymnastics (DD desperately wants to continue - many tears shed).:(

When she got her lisfranc sprain took her to the family chiropractor (they do a LOT more than just spines - its the entire musculo-skeletal system - and impacts the nervous system as well) - awesome guy who deals with sports of all types. He not only popped the joint back... K-taped her up... gave her specific instructions on home therapy and event specific limitations, and showed me how to retape it properly. Good to go in 2 weeks... and I've been told sprains can take longer than breaks to heal. On top of that he did a full adjustment and realigned her hips from when she had the boot on - the next day her coaches all commented on improvements on vault, beam, and floor.

I love love love the ASO EVO Normal Lacer ankle stabilizer. I found that the normal lacing felt more "stable" than the speed lacer. However, it is very slippery on the beam. A friend wears the ShockDoctor and it's slightly less supportive but is better on the beam. But...

Go to the doctor, or a physical therapist and get them checked out. Slapping some braces on shouldn't be the solution.... strengthening should be.

I have ruptured the ligaments in my right ankle and because I never sought medical advice about it straight away, they never got fixed, which left me with a very dodgy left ankle that always rolls over to the side. So my physio therapist suggest me to use a ankle brace, and he told me to use the air cast a60 which I have been using now for ages and it's not too bulky and seems to do the job! However it does mean for me it's harder to point my back foot because of it, especially in split leaps!
