I have this young gymnast, 6 years old, and she has recently learned to do a back handspring on the floor. She started off on the trampoline and has now transferred it to the floor. However complains alot about pain in her left arm just underneath her elbow when she jumps back and lands on it. This is only a problem for her when she is doing BHS on the floor. On a squishy mat though it does not really hurt. However this pain only seems to occur on BHS and not on walkovers or round offs. She often will then complain of wrist pain as well on BHS.

So i'm wondering what could be causing this pain, and what can we do to prevent this problem, as i fear that higher impact skills in the future will not be possible if this problem is not dealt with.
Thank you

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
