Men High bar grips

Hey, I have a question about high bar grips.

I'm a woman also doing some mens gymnastics, and I recently got high bar grips. I've had reisport uneven bars grips for years already without much trouble, broke in several pairs by now, so I've got at least some experience getting used to grips.

I have pretty small wrists/hands. I got a reichelsport size 2, they're on the short side but people at my gym say it's doable. The issue I have is they keep cutting painfully into the area under my thumb.
Yesterday once I forgot to grip my thumb around the bar and the grips felt fine, but as soon as I grip the bar properly it's like the grips are strangling my hands.

Does this go away as the leather softens? Or do I maybe need to find a brand with narrower strips? (If so, any brand recommendations?)
Any other tips? Idk if this is a sizing issue, a brand issue, just something that gets fixed as I break them in or if my little women hands just aren't made for mens high bar grips (But like tiny boys get grips too though).

Any advise would be appreciated, I'm feeling a little lost here.

Weird, I did not add the links to DGS that are showing up in my post!
It does that when we mention grips.

Also, thanks for your reply :).

I looked at the Deitchgrips, and the kids version does seem narrower, but the adult version does not. And unfortunately their kids grips go up to 6.5 inch / 16 cm (I think they mean 16.5 cm though, as that's 6.5 inch). I have 17cm / 6.7 inch hands and I think they'd feel too small? I also don't think I can order from the US, unfortunately. Nowadays that's simply too expensive and you never know if you'll even get what you ordered.

But still, thanks for the help, I really appreciate it :). I'm gonna keep looking and it's good to know that it's not just me.
